WÜRTH BAER Supply Company Acquires J&G Machinery

 Vernon Hills, IL – August 1, 2022 - It is with great excitement that Würth Baer Supply Company announces the acquisition of J&G Machinery in Sanford, North Carolina. The addition of J&G Machinery will expand Würth’s woodworking machinery sales and service footprint to include the southeast United States. Both J&G Machinery owners John Johnson and Jerry Johnson (and all J&G employees) will continue to manage the day-to-day business just as it is operating today. J&G and its’ field sales team are ideally located to service the southeast United States’ cabinet, millwork, and furniture manufacturing market.

Titus acquires Precision Plastics, Columbia City, IN

Titus Group announces the acquisition of Precision Plastics in Columbia City, Indiana.

Precision Plastics brings over 60 years of manufacturing experience and a long history supplying the automotive sector. The combination will enhance Titus’ capabilities by providing added capacity to meet their current customers’ needs. Titus Group North America CEO Matthew Hurley says: “We have looked at opportunities to onshore more of our manufacturing in the United States for quite some time. We look forward to welcoming Precision Plastics’ team and supporting them with investment in current and new programs. The introduction of Titus Group’s proprietary zinc metal and automation capabilities will now enable us to develop a wider range of customer-specific solutions locally.”

In 2021 Titus Group provided over three billion connectors, and functional hardware components to the worldwide furniture, kitchen and appliance industries. Titus is a leader in OEM supply of damping engineering. Titus Group Chairman, Robert Appleby says: “Titus is no stranger to US manufacturing. Highlights of IWF 2022 Seniority Housing Process

  • October 13 – IWF sends an email to the official contact on file with seniority housing instructions, your company’s seniority number and your log in ID and password.
  • The day before your company’s activation – Maritz Global sends the official contact for your company a reminder email with your company’s log in information and password and a direct link to the online request process. This email is resent the morning of your company’s activation.
  • October 19, 2021 – 9:00 am EST - Seniority Groups 26 through 18 are activated and can request hotel rooms online using the link in the email sent by Maritz.
  • October 20 – 27th – 9:00 am EST - Subsequent seniority groups open each day until all groups are activated on October 27th. (see schedule below)
  • October 29th – Seniority Housing Process Closes.  Lottery entry deadline – 12:00  noon.
  • November 9th – Exhibitor Registration opens and room reservations will be accepted by phone, internet or mail from all exhibitors through their IWF registration and housing portal.

Nashville, TN – The Wood Industry Resource Collaborative (WIRC) is excited to announce the launch of their industry-wide career awareness campaign, “You Wood.” Developed by several industry trade associations led by AWFS, WMIA, and WMMA, in partnership with Nashville-based INDUSTRIAL Strength Marketing, the WIRC campaign aims to communicate wood industry career pathways and attract new talent.
